Wendy attended St. John’s University graduating with a BS in Communication Arts and minor in Business. In school, she interned at the school newspaper, which got her a part time job writing sports blurbs for Newsday. However, in her first real job out of college as an administrative assistant in an advertising firm’s media department, Wendy found she loved working in finance. Soon after, she began her long career in architecture at HOK, where she worked for 10 years as a Project Accountant. She has worked at several architecture and engineering firms since, including: Mancini Duffy, Perkins + Will, URS and Skidmore Owings & Merrill. Currently, Wendy is at Davis Brody Bond, where she is the Director of Financial Operations. Her position entails project controls and helping to establish project budgets, as well as creating an office budget. As part of her responsibilities, Wendy has been fortunate to be able to attend annual conferences in Deltek Vision.
Wendy has been a member of the SDA since 1997 and is the 2011 recipient of the Jennifer M. Greene EdSymposium11 scholarship.
